Dealing with Chow Chow Shedding

Although shedding is beneficial for your Chow Chow as it helps keep them cool in summer and warm in winter; it can still be a little annoying to tidy up. However, you can control the amount of hair around you home by following the below tips:

  • You could only allow your Chow Chow in certain rooms of your house. For example, you could make a rule that your Chow Chow is not allowed in any of the bedrooms. This will limit the amount of rooms that will have hair in them.
  • Hair is easier to remove from leather. So opt for a leather sofa instead of choosing a sofa with a different fabric.
  • Put old blankets down where your Chow Chow likes to nap.
  • Keep a lint brush handy so you can remove any hair from your clothes or furniture quickly.
  • Make sure you keep your wardrobe door closed at all times. Also, make sure you put clothes away immediately. This will stop your Chow Chows hair getting on you nice clothes.
